1st day: Marrakech - Arrival
You’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
2nd day: Marrakech - Dekaoua
Leaving after breakfast we head up over the High Atlas mountains using the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. There will be chances to take in the very impressive panoramic views. Coming down the other side we pass through Ouarzazate and Tinghir. Outside Erfoud we stay overnight in the wilderness at Dekaoua.
3rd day: Dekaoua - Tissradmine
After breakfast we go to the camel holding area where your “steed” will be chosen for you. We’ll ride along the track towards the oasis at Tissradmine, crossing the plateau, going down the Chebbi wadi and its golden sand dunes. We’ll dine and spend the night in the campsite.
4th day: Tissradmine - Merdani
Mounting your camel after breakfast, we ride towards Merdani using the Talghoumte wadi. We pass the Erg Chebbi sand dunes and cross the sand plateau. We arrive at the ruins of Merdani where we dine and camp overnight.
5th day: Merdani - Merzouga
We depart for Mezouga after breakfast. We go via the village of Khamlia, inhabited by people who originate from sub-saharan Senegal. They dance to their Gnawa music. We then see the palm plantations at Merzouga before arriving north of the Erg Chebbi, where we dine and spend the night in Nomad tents. You also say goodbye to your camel!
6th day: Merzouga - Marrakech
Leaving after breakfast we head back to Marrakech going via Erfoud, Tinghir and Ouarzazate. You’ll dine and spend the night in the hotel.
7th day: Marrakech - Departure
You will be transfered to the airport in plenty of time for your flight home.
